The batteries in my camera ran low (and I left my charger in Hawaii). Elf from THE READING ADDICT (at this link) took some pictures for me:
Yum ... "cover" cookies at the Kensington Party! |
Happy Hour with Cara Elliott and Vicky Dreiling at the Grand Central Publishing signing. |
Barbara Vey also took excellent pictures, which she posted on BEYOND HER BOOK (at this link). I borrow this picture of my friend Anne Elizabeth ...
... and I tease you with one more from my camera - Julia Quinn!
Mahalo,
Kim in Hawaii
Moving trucks flood my neighborhood ... |
.... the movers who packed my husband's stuff! |
EVERYTHING - that is what I would want to see if I came to visit. I am certain you would lead me to the best sites to be had there... Alass it's a good dream!

The cover cookies look so pretty. I would love to visit Maui, but if I'm in Oahu, I want to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center again.
ReplyDeleteThose cover cookies look awesome! As for what I'd like to see if I go to Hawaii, a little bit of everything really. I would love to go hiking and scuba diving :)
ReplyDeleteI think I have to agree with a couple of the others, I would want to see as much as possible. Some beaches, flowers, buildings, parks, anything that you can think of to show the beauty and culture of the islands.
ReplyDeleteI was only on Oahu many years ago and would love to see all the other islands!
ReplyDeleteWow! I had no idea your husband was taking so much stuff with him! I love seeing the waterfalls, the flowers and the beautiful sunsets from the beaches in your beautiful state! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteActually, the two movers took less than 10 minutes to pack my husband's meager belongings (stuff to supplement a furnished one bedroom aparment on base). The summer is moving season, so the trucks were packing out neighbors!
DeleteSUCH fun pics from RWA, Kim! Thanks for sharing. It was so lovely to see you there. Hope the stuff all gets moved smoothly!
ReplyDelete(p.s.: I'd like to assure all readers that I was entirely sober—the wine belonged to Vicky, ha,ha,ha!)
I would like to go to Molokai. Good luck to you in the coming year. It is tough being a military wife sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI think I would like to see EVERYTHING. From the beaches to the volcanoes to the parks...
ReplyDeleteI've been to Hawaii twice, and I totally love it. We found many fun things to do on beautiful Kauai and I fell in love with its beauty. I've never been to Molokai though, so it would be fun to make a stop there.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to go up the coast when it wasn't raining. LOL. That was such a fun day that we had Kim.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you got a picture with Julia Quinn. One day I shall have the nerve to ask her to take a picture with me. Next year...
I've shared this link with Vicky :)
There are so many wonderful place to visit. I would just tell you to take me to ones you really like and you know I would enjoy, too!
ReplyDeleteI'd want to see it all! But I would start with Pearl Harbor. That's definitely at the top of my list.
ReplyDeleteI would just like to relax on the beach with you Kim and talk books!
