Jane Austen visits Aloha 'Aina Park

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome Jane Austen to Oahu as part of Sourcebooks' promotion, Around the World with Jane Austen:

In the June memoir, All Roads Lead to Austen, the author Amy Elizabeth Smith took Jane Austen’s works along with her as she traveled to foreign countries. Her goal was to see if the magic of Jane Austen could hold its power across borders, languages and cultures.

For contest details, check out the Facebook page at at this link.

Jane tours Hickam Air Force Base's
Aloha 'Aina Park ....

... along the Pearl Harbor Channel ...

... with the Missing Man Formation!
Jane has written about Army heroes in
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE and Navy heroes
in PERSUASION.  Perhaps she'll consider
flying  heroes for her next book!

Jane admires the Bird of Paradise ...

.... and the Tiki Garden!

What is your favorite flower?  One randomly selected commenter from this week's blogs wins a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, May 19, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, May 21.

  13. My favorite flower is a rose, but that is because it was my great grandmother's name. As far as smell goes, it would be Hyacinths. I think that Calla Lilies are very pretty. I guess that would be 3 favorites. ;)
