Jane wets her toes on Waikiki Beach

Jane wanted to visit Waikiki - the surfing sands of Oahu's ali'i (chiefs).  We ventured down to the Hale Koa - House of the Warrior.  The Hale Koa has faithfully served military families since 1975.

Jane is dwarfed by the banyon tree!

Jane also sits in another "viney" tree -
does anyone know what kind it is?

Here's a view looking up!
Jane spies the stand up paddlers.
Jane finds a coconut!

Jane chats with the Beach Boy
and Beach Girl!

Jane samples kayaking ...

... and the water bike!

The water is so tempting ...

... that many couples ride together!

Jane walks along the jetty for magnificent views!

What is your favorite beach?  One randomly selected commenter from this week's blogs wins a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, June 2, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, June 3.

Kim in Hawaii

A juggler has plenty of space to practice!

  1. I loved the black sand beaches on the Big Island, but my favorite local beach is Jones Beach.

  2. I love the beach at Emerald Isle NC. It is much easier to get to than Hawaii.

  3. In town, La Jolla Shores. Out of town, any tropical beach where the water is clear and warm. Jane looks like she had a great day at the beach!

  4. My favorite Beach will always be Redondo Beach. I grew up around there and it was the first beach I ever went to.

  5. The last beach that I've been to is Coco Beach, Florida. I think I like any and all beaches although I don't get to them too often.

  6. I like the beaches on Hawaii.

  7. Black sand beaches of Kuaui and innumerable Greek beaches.

  8. The Hawaii beachesva. And malibu whoo

  9. I love the beach at Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I love going down there for there's a great ambiance and a huge selection of eclectic shops.

  10. The beaches along the coast of Oregon are beautiful.
