Aloha to the Little Patuxent River - Winterscape

I previously posted pictures of the Savage Mill Trail along the Little Patuxent River in the fall (link).   Over the weekend, my son and I walked along the opposite bank to soak up the winterscape.

The rugged path leads to the abandoned mill (link).

Other hikers created art from nature!

After living in Hawaii, I am drawn to the water.

Other families enjoyed the mild weather.   Nearby is the Savage Mill Manor, built in 1844.  It is now open for special catered events.

  1. We have an abandoned mill near us. I love hiking out to it.

  2. I like the art from nature. My daughter's boyfriend makes these amazing balanced stones that don't seem possible.

  3. It is really a nice place when you like nature. The fresh air, the cold winds and clear water, that is great!

  4. The Manor is beautiful - would enjoy touring. I'm drawn to the water, too (which is a bit difficult in in north central Texas!). Love the pictures.

  5. I'd love to go to an event at the Manor. It's really beautiful. The abandoned mill looks like an interesting place to check out too.
