Aloha to Korea - Squadron Spirit!

During our stay on Osan Air Base, we noticed special cars ...

... that represent the different squadrons.

The "beaters" are handed down from outgoing personnel to new arrivals.

The Black Cats are the 5th Reconissance Squadron - the U2s.   Check out the squadron's mission at this link ... and how a U2 takes off and lands (without wheels on the wings) at this link

The Black Cats host their own "lounge", a popular place for lunch.  We enjoyed noodle soup and beef bulgogi.

  5. I like the Black Cats, both the truck (so cute & little) and the lounge (although I am curious why the carpet might be wet?)

  6. We have the joy of seeing those amazing aircraft flying around, I had no idea of the lengths they have to go through in order to balance on the ground. Fascinating video, thank you for the link.
