One hundred and one ice skates ....

The holidays came and went ... I share share pictures from a tea party with my church ladies.

Our hostess, Lillian, loves to decorate with skates!

Lillian buys them from yard sales and paints them.

Can you find the Maple Leaf in honor of Canada?

And, of course, the tea party goodies!  Do you like to ice skate? Or would you rather drink tea?  I would rather drink tea and eat goodies.

One randomly selected commenter from this week's posts wins a book choice from my convention stash. Comments are open through Saturday, January 9, 10 pm in Baltimore.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, January 10.

  1. As a kid I enjoyed ice skating, but weak ankles prevented me from doing a lot of it. Now, I would prefer to drink tea and eat goodies, especially with friends.

  5. What an original thing to collect. I guess I tried it a few times as a kid but those rented skates were pretty bad lol.

  6. I tried ice skating when I was younger, but wasn't very successful. It was on a frozen pond in a local park, so it wasn't completely smooth, plus being outside it was very cold too, so didn't do it often.
