ReplyDeleteHi Kim!
ReplyDeleteI loved your pictures and it was great to see you included the picture of the P-3! That what my husband flew in after his duty was up in the Navy during Vietnam and joined the Navy Reserves as a week-end warrior.
He never had a boring day when he was flying with the rest of the crew on a P-3. In the Strait of Gibraltar he actually got a picture of the Russian sub that later went down off the coast of Norway and during Dessert Storm the crew he was on covered the East Coast looking out for scud missiles.
Of course when most people think of P-3's they immediately think of Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy and the P-3 looking for Russian submarines. Their mission may have changed but today the men and women of the Navy on P-3's are still an important part of the security of our country.
