Aloha to Kaua'i - Anahola Beach Park

On our way to the airport, we stopped by the Anahola Beach Park for one last photo ... or two.  The trade winds have shaped this tree!

The trade winds also create great surfing!

The beach is wide open!

Do you have a favorite spot to take photos?  One randomly selected commenter from this week's blogs wins a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, July 21, 10 pm in Hawaii.   I'll post the winner on Sunday, July 22.

Mahalo,

Kim in Hawaii

Kaua'i remembers surfing legend Andy Irons.

  6. There is a state park right by the town that I live in. It is called palisades park. During fall the leaves are beautiful and great place to take pictures. During the spring the flowers and vegetation are beautiful. During the winter is is closed, but still beautiful. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  8. I don't have a favorite spot to take pictures. I have a small Canon and I've had great fun taking pictures while riding in the big rig with my husband this summer. I have been lucky to get some great shots while moving down the highway at 65 mph. And then there are some not so great shots!

  11. I think anywhere near the ocean is a great spot to take pictures. We don't have an ocean here in Vegas but I have seen small rivers and creeks up in the mountains right after winter when the ice on the mountain is beginning to melt.
