Aloha to Honolulu Hale - Holiday Decorations

Did you know Santa retreats to Honolulu after December 25?    He pulls of his boots (to the right behind him), dips his feet in the water, and enjoys a cocktail from a coconut (to the left in front of Mrs. Claus).

Honolulu Hale (City Hall) is the place for holiday decorations ....

.... with Frosty and his family, ready to surf!

Slippahs (flip flops) are the official holiday footwear ...

... and Tutu will give you a lei!   Do you have a holiday display in your town?  One randomly selected commenter from this week's blogs wins a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, December 29, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, December 30.

  3. I don't think there are many outside displays like this here, but go into any of the Casinos and there are a lot of decorations.

  9. The nearest community does a Christmas 'tree' made from lights and has a tree lighting ceremony. Another community has a parade and decorates, with lights, an entire park with activities for a month.

  10. Those are totally cute holiday displays! We have a neighborhood in town where most all of the houses put up lots of lights and decorations. We usually stroll through it on Christmas eve.

  13. Oh what brightly covered, unique displays!! We have a light up night in our city but we have some homes near us that really go way out with decorations. One house has been adding decorations for many years and has hundreds - it's quite something.
