Jane flies vintage aircraft!

Jane inspects the historic aircraft on display
at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam!

Here's the F15 Eagle.

The nose art is striking!

Jane hangs onto an antenna!

Sherlock joins her in the engine!

The wheel is bigger than expected!

Here's the F4 Phantom.

Jane sits on the wing.

Here's the F102 Delta Dagger.

Jane enjoys the view on the wing ...

... as the tail art is also colorful!

Finally, the F86 Sabre!

Jane catches the breeze!

Have you visited any static displays or even an airshow?   One randomly selected commenter from this week's blogs wins a book choice from my convention stash.  This giveaway is open to all readers.  Comments are open through Saturday, June 2, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, June 3.

Mahalo,

Let's compare Jane in the F86 engine to ...

... Romance author Susan Grant in the 747 engine!

  3. They have a collection of aircraft on the USS Midway Museum here. Very intersting to walk around see all the planes/helicopters/etc. I'm glad Jane got to visit the aircraft and meet up with her friend Sherlock.

  8. Kim we once stopped at the Navarro Community College in Corsicana, TX because we spotted a static display of a jet aircraft. We'd never noticed it all the years of going to and from Fort Hood. Last summer during the Fourth of July while visiting Jim's brother at Cedar Creek Lake, we caught the planes from the air show as they flew over where his brother lives. It was really cool to see them.

  11. Wow, that Jane sure gets around!! It seems like she's having a great time. I've been to lots of airshows and seen lots of static displays...but, I've never made it to the mecca of all airshows - Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Maybe someday....

  13. Wow, Jane sure did have a lot of fun with all the vintage aircrafts that were on display! The F102 Delta Dagger and the F86 Sabre caught my fancy because of their unique designs. While they don't pack a lot of power as opposed to modern aircrafts, I like how artistic they were with manufacturing. Thanks for sharing, Kim!
