I was able to stand in one of those when I visited Pratt and Whitney. It is huge!
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of the Vintage aircraft. I've never been to any air shows but would love to go. Thanks for sharing Jane's exploits.

They have a collection of aircraft on the USS Midway Museum here. Very intersting to walk around see all the planes/helicopters/etc. I'm glad Jane got to visit the aircraft and meet up with her friend Sherlock.
ReplyDeleteI've been to the air show here in las vegas once. My hubby goes each year now.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a difference. I haven't been but I have an uncle that has gone to a lot of shows and I've seen his many pics and videos.
ReplyDeleteI've seen various aircraft on the USS Intrepid Museum.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to the Chicago Water and Air show. Has Jane found a boyfriend yet with all her trips?
ReplyDeleteKim we once stopped at the Navarro Community College in Corsicana, TX because we spotted a static display of a jet aircraft. We'd never noticed it all the years of going to and from Fort Hood. Last summer during the Fourth of July while visiting Jim's brother at Cedar Creek Lake, we caught the planes from the air show as they flew over where his brother lives. It was really cool to see them.
ReplyDeleteGreat. Pcs have not , would. Lve to

ReplyDeleteBest museum--although so many good ones: http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/london/
Wow, that Jane sure gets around!! It seems like she's having a great time. I've been to lots of airshows and seen lots of static displays...but, I've never made it to the mecca of all airshows - Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Maybe someday....
ReplyDeleteI've never been to an air show. Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteWow, Jane sure did have a lot of fun with all the vintage aircrafts that were on display! The F102 Delta Dagger and the F86 Sabre caught my fancy because of their unique designs. While they don't pack a lot of power as opposed to modern aircrafts, I like how artistic they were with manufacturing. Thanks for sharing, Kim!
