I am posting pictures from my mother's visit so her friends in Florida and England can see Hawaii! Today we ventured to Bellows Beach on Oahu's windward side. Bellows Beach is a Air Force Station whose runway was attacked on December 7, 1941. Bellows now hosts Marine Corps training (landing on the beach), family vacations (lying on the beach), and
Hawaii Five O (filming on the beach).

Funny how changing directions lightens the picture! Mokalua ("two islands") are in the background. We were just south of Kailua ("two seas") where the First Family vacations each year for their winter holiday.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful beach. We have pretty beaches here in San Diego, but they don't compare to the beautiful tropical beaches of Hawaii. And the warm water there too.
