Aloha to USF Bulls and Rainbows

I share the pictures from the last day of our trip to the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa.   Oldest, right, is now a freshman.  Youngest, left, has fun with the bulls.

I spotted this motor boat ...

... which belongs to the Department of Geology.

A rainbow blessed our goodbye dinner with oldest.  We'll see him in December!

Where have you seen a rainbow?  One randomly selected commenter from this week's posts wins a book choice from my convention stash.  Comments are open through Saturday, September 26, 10 pm in Baltimore.  I'll post the winner on Sunday, September 27, at SOS Aloha (link).

Mahalo,

Aloha Spirit in Charm City

The sun set over his dorm ... and we drove away.

I am sure your son will do great. Is he going into the Dept of Geology? I did not know colleges had classes with boats. haha Shows what I know. :-)

  4. Nowhere special but it happens once in a while. We get the rain but having sun too is a lot less frequent in Pgh. lol.

  6. I love rainbows! Occasionally, we get double rainbows out here. One (or 2 really) of the most memorable double rainbows I've seen was several years ago on our first day of vacation in Wyoming. It had been raining and stormy all day-including during our flight into Jackson Hole. We ate in Teton Village and while we were eating the rain cleared. We went outside to see a double rainbow over the valley with the Tetons in the background. Beautiful!

  7. saw some beautiful rainbows in Hawaii - I know I've seen others, just can't remember where or when - it's always a treat and we kid about finding the end and the pot o' gold
