My youngest son went capming this past weekend.   While the adults slept in tents ...

... the scouts slept in cabins!

I unpacked a box today and found vintage photos from Pearl Harbor.  

I don't know the date of the photos but the fashions suggest the fifties ... maybe sixties

The girl scouts enjoy cotton candy!

... and the scouts honor those buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, aka Punchbowl, above and below.

Aloha to the Little Patuxent River - Winterscape

I previously posted pictures of the Savage Mill Trail along the Little Patuxent River in the fall (link).   Over the weekend, my son and I walked along the opposite bank to soak up the winterscape.

  The rugged path leads to the abandoned mill (link).

After living in Hawaii, I am drawn to the water.

  
Other families enjoyed the mild weather.   Nearby is the Savage Mill Manor, built in 1844.  It is now open for special catered events.
