We stopped by a jade factory to learn how its carved.
I did not realize jade came in colors other than green!
Our guide showed us the "generation ball" - it is a series of balls inside balls.
Ah, the happy Buddha in Jade! Downstairs, we gawked at the furniture, including the caravan. While tempting, where would I put it in my house?
Mahalo,
Kim in Korea
I love jade!!!! That's all I'm saying!

ReplyDeleteMy in-laws lived in Japan for a while and I am lucky to have gotten some of their items from there. I have two Budda lamps and a few other Budda items - love them! And jade items are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe have some jade jewelry and sometimes it's hard to tell the fakes ones when you're shopping for them.
ReplyDeleteI love jade, too, but didn't realize it came in other colors! Love the happy Buddha!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that Jade came in different colors either. There seem to be a lot of us that have just learned that thanks to your trip :)
